Bindings & Binding Block Sets

According to RESNA (Rehabilitation Engineering and Assistive Technology Society of North America), ski bindings for monoskis are not intended to release. The front plate (wing) prevents the toe binding from releasing under most circumstances and mounts under the binding. Professional mounting using longer bolts is recommended. We currently have binding blocking sets for selective race bindings listed below. Each blocking set consists of a front binding (wing), a rear block, and a pin.

Non-Release Monoski Binding

The DynAccess non-release monoski binding (NRB) was designed such that the flex of the ski is minimally affected (considerably less than existing able-bodied ski bindings, including the so-called “Freeflex” bindings of Tyrolia/Head/Fischer). The binding consists of a long aluminum tube replacing the “sole” of any DynAccess monoski , two brackets mounted to the ski, six bearings, a flex link, two shafts, two quick-pins, plus various hardware.

Two relatively small brackets are mounted on the ski, using eight standard binding screws. Two quick-pins are pulled out and two shafts pushed out to remove the monoski from a ski. Limited availability. Please contact if you are interested.

Rear Binding Cover for the Hydra Model

A binding cover could be installed in the Hydra. This could reduce the risk of the rear binding being caught by the chairlift and being destroyed by it. It consists of a triangle part (which is inserted in the swing arm of the Hydra) and a long cover that opens and closes. When it closes, it goes over the rear binding and is fixed to the rear binding block with a bungee cord. It works for Head/Fischer and Marker bindings. If you use other bindings, please contact us to discuss.
